You wouldn’t think it but I haven’t really picked up my ‘big camera’ all that much in the last month. Well not as much as I usually do. I have just been feeling a bit run down, lacking in inspiration, and mourning the end of the warm weather and being able to take photos like this.
I have had so much on, both in our family life and in my work life too, and taking photos has taken a little bit of a back seat. It’s all very well photographing the memories but it is just as important to live them too.
I do find snapping away with my camera so therapeutic, whether it’s our ordinary life, days out or doing little photo shoots with my girls. I want to make sure I capture them from every angle.
Therefore this past weekend I had to get my camera out for something else so I seized the opportunity to take a few of my little ladies.
Just some simple snaps but I like them as they sum up how they are at this moment.
Mads normally wants to look at anything but the camera but on Saturday she was loving posing for Mummy (with the help of some gummy bears!) and I love that I actually have a couple of her smiling.
I made this DIY backdrop from stringing up some twinkly lights and I already have plans for some Christmas inspired photos!
I love my little ladies.
