My Week That Was is a day late this week as I have been enjoying the bank holiday fun with my family. Despite the rain we have had a great time just being together and having fun. Without further ado here is My Week That Was…
Monday was a work day and nothing very exciting happened. In the evening we went over to my Mums for a slightly damp BBQ as the wonderful weather took a turn for the worse. My Grandparents were there so it was nice to see them too. We withstood the slight drizzle and ate outside anyway. I also made my video’s for the Mad Blog Awards- you can check out the video here to see if you can find me!
Tuesday was a work day- again nothing exciting happened whatsoever. In fact the whole day was pretty uneventful.
Wednesday was a work day in the morning and then in the afternoon I came home and did some freelance work- it is always nice to have a half day of doing things. Mads came home from Paula’s with a lovely new pair of Tom like shoes…so adorable!
Thursday I went with my sister to have my hair cut and coloured- it was nice as she babysat Mads while I had a bit of a pampering- it needed a good cut as I hadn’t had it cut in about eight months. We then went to try some prom dresses on for Anna as it is her final year prom in a month or so- she ended up buying a beautiful one.
Friday was spent seeing friends. We met one of our friends for lunch in the garden centre and then in the afternoon we went round to one of my NCT girls houses for some cake- the babies had a lovely time playing as always. We snuggled up on the sofa in the evening and watched a film.
Saturday was the start of the bank holiday weekend. We got up early and went into Cambridge to buy some bits for our holiday- I bought a few maxi dresses which are good for hiding the tummy! Although the weather wasn’t great we stopped off at the park and had some lunch. In the afternoon we chilled out and enjoyed each other’s company. Mr E cooked a yummy risotto in the evening and we watched trashy tv.
Sunday was a grey and wet day but we still had fun. We made jubilee cupcakes and Mads had her first experience of licking the bowl, in the afternoon we made a yummy salad for lunch and Mads had a long sleep. In the late afternoon we went over to my Dads for a (wet) BBQ. My Nana and Grandpa were there from their home in Shropshire and it was wonderful to see them. Some of my Dad’s close friends were there too so all in all it was a very fun time.
And that was My Week That Was.
What is lovely is that this week we have another couple of days to have some fun times. I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend- my blog and twitter feel a bit neglected but sometimes it is nice to switch off and have a break.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn’t just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.
