This time next month you will be two. Two years old. I think Mummy is hormonal as just typing the words brings tears to my eyes. I can’t believe that you will have been a part of our lives for two years. But we are not quite there yet. As for one month longer you are still my one year old, my 23 month old little girl.
This month has been a happy one full of adventures and learning. You learn something new every day, and I am so proud of you for that- i can’t believe how bright you are turning out to be- I wonder whether you will be like that when you are at school. Your speech is amazing, and you chatter non stop- a couple of months ago you weren’t even forming sentences and now you are saying three or four words at a time. I love having little chats with you.
My favourite times of the day at the moment are at night time. Daddy and I often take it in turns to bath you and put you to bed, while the other of us makes dinner or tidys up, but just recently we have been revelling in spending time just being together all three of us. We have a bath, and then all lie on the bed and you giggle and wriggle and laugh non stop. We have cuddles and then read a story before you have your milk and go to bed. I love those moments with you, the way your eyes dance and shine with happiness. Words cannot describe how much I love you.
I also love the weekends- we haven’t had much on recently so our weekends have been spent chilling out and just being together. Last weekend we went to the zoo and you were so excited at looking at the animals. You got scared when the monkeys jumped on our car until Mummy and Daddy told you that it was ok. We spend our weekends just enjoying each others company, even if we are at home we are always having fun.
You are such a little character and we have a lot of fun together. I treasure our Thursday and Fridays that we have off together- we do lots of things, such as going to friends houses, to soft play, out to lunch or to other fun places. You love going out and about and you chatter non stop on the way about who we are going to see. On the way home you always tell me that we are ‘nearly home’ to have a ‘biscuit, juice and Holly.’ And that is exactly what we do, we snuggle on the sofa and watch Ben and Holly with a snack, or we have lunch together. You then have a long two or three hour nap which gives Mummy a chance to relax. I love our little routine that we have.
Every month that goes past, I think being your Mummy can’t get any better, but it always does. You never fail to make us smile, laugh and cry with the way you are growing. I am so unbelievably proud to call you ours.
Mummy loves you more than anything in the world. But as always you already knew that.
