You were 21 weeks yesterday- I can’t believe it. Soon I am going to have to start saying it in months, as I keep forgetting what week we are on. I truly can’t believe that you are growing so quickly. While I love and adore watching you develop and change, part of me is a little sad that you are changing so rapidly- it seems like so long ago that you were a newborn, now you are a real little lady.
Your such a cheeky girl now you are starting to become more aware. In the last few days you have started doing a funny smile where you open your whole mouth, its hilarious. You are always smiling, I know that most Mums will say that, but you really are. We are so lucky that we have such a laid back, smily baby- everybody always comments on how happy and placid you are. Grandma says that you have Daddy’s laid back temprament, not Mummys! Of course you do occasionally cry, you are a baby after all, generally it is in the early evening when you are tired and grizzly. I worry when we have another baby that it will be a little monkey, because we have just been so lucky with you. You are a good girl at night times, you go down with no trouble at all, although you do like to fight sleep during the day which is frustrating! In the next few days you are going to go into your big girls cot in your own room- Mummy doesn’t want you too because I love having you sleep in your moses basket next to me, but you are getting far too big for it!
Mummy is still feeding you, I know I have written to you before that we have had our ups and downs, but I am so glad I carried on. I love nothing more than cuddling you and sharing a bond with you while you feed. Although this week is the start of a new adventure, we are going to start to give you a little bit of real food, just baby rice to start with. How exciting! I hope that you will be a good girl and like lots of different foods- lets hope you don’t take after Daddy and not like vegetables!
In the last two days you have started rolling over. I was so excited when you did it, and then you didn’t try again for a while but all of a sudden we can’t put you on the floor without you rolling on to your tummy. I can’t believe you are now on the move- life will never be the same again! You love having your nappy off, but you often squirm off your mat and wee on the living room carpet!
I adore being with you all day every day. We have made lots of nice friends with babys, and we are always going out and about to different places. You are getting good at swimming now, you often kick your legs and splash about. You also giggle constantly, especially when you pull Daddys face! Although Mummy doesn’t let you do it a lot, you love sitting watching the television, I think it is the colours and shapes. You also love standing up on your legs, they are very strong, even with your bad hips. If you get tired you put two fingers in your mouth and often it will comfort you enough to fall asleep. You are very nosy and are always looking round the room, you smile at everyone, and get very excited over Grandmas dog.
I know we have said it millions of times before but you have made Mummy and Daddys life complete. With you now here, we are a family. You brighten up our days, and we are the luckiest people in the world to have you.
I love you from the bottom of my heart, now and forever.
