My Sisters in January.

One of the best things about being a Mummy to two by far is watching the bond develop between my two little ladies.  From the second that Mads met her little sister in the hospital, I have been overwhelmed, and utterly transfixed with the love between the two of them.  My biggest girl has amazed me with how kind, caring and affectionate she has been with her little sister, and I have never once seen her show even one ounce of jealousy towards her.  She has completely accepted her into our family.

When LL was tiny I took a LOT of photos of the two of them together.  It was easy as LL would just lie there and Mads would hold her.  Their first few months together were full of DSLR photos of the two of them…

And iPhone photos too…

All was going well.  Until Mads realised that Mummy taking photos was totally not fun and LL learn to move.  Quickly.  Alas it is now near on impossible to get photos of the two of them together as they are both constantly on the go, usually in opposite directions.  I do still take them, but they certainly are not as easy as they used to be.

Therefore when I was invited by Lucy to be in a project ‘Siblings’  where we share a photo of our girls a month, I wondered what I was letting myself in for.  But I like a challenge and so therefore will try and capture at least one good one a month.  Without further ado here is the first month…

My big girl loves to play with ears.  Daddy’s are best but she loves to play with her little sisters too.  The only problem is LL wants to be on the move constantly so she has to have a little play when she is otherwise distracted.

I can’t wait to see what this year will bring for my two little girls who are on the cusp of a very beautiful friendship.
