{The Ordinary Moments 16} #1 ‘My 2016 Goals’

Hello and welcome to the first ‘Ordinary Moments’ post of 2016. I am excited to be doing this little project for another year. I think it is so important to celebrate the little parts of life that we might otherwise forget. Our blogs are amazing ways to record the holidays, the extraordinary moments, and the amazing brands we work with, but I am sure I am not the only one who started blogging primarily to record the memories and milestones of my little family- and that includes day to day life too.

I wanted to write about my hopes and goals for 2016 in my first ‘Ordinary Moments’ post of the year. I am not one to sit and write a list of New Years Resolutions, as inevitably I will always break them, but I always like to spend a few moments having a think about what I want from the year, both personally and in a working/blogging aspect as well. Last year I wrote this post and it is so interesting to read back on the hopes and dreams I had for 2015.

My goals last year were to find a better work/life balance. I was worried that I was spending too much time on the computer in the evenings and therefore not spending enough with Mr E. I can definitely say that I have more of a work/life balance now than I did previously which is great news. This may well be self inflicted due to pregnancy and not having the energy to pick up my computer in the evenings, but I spend at least a few evenings a week snuggled up on the sofa and not with my face buried in my phone or computer.

I said I wanted my blog to grow, but that I only wanted to blog when I had something to say, rather than for the sake of it. I think I have definitely stuck to that this year, my blog has grown and I have had some absolutely amazing partnerships and collaborations last year, I can only dream it will be like that again for 2016. I also only really write when I have something to say, I definitely suffer from bloggers block and often wish I could be like other bloggers I admire- writing recipes, or blogging tips, or posting most days, but I just can’t really get myself into that place. I don’t really feel like I have a niche of what I like to write about which is a shame, just family life. Therefore I guess I will continue the way I am in 2016 and hope my blog will still grow and develop.

I also said that in 2015 I  wanted to improve my photography and learn more about video. I definitely think that I have learnt more about video, although I am still a complete beginner. I am torn between making little videos that are arty and set to music which I love (like this or this), or to be a little more ‘in the moment’ and just do more chatty vlogs like I did during my daily videos at Vlogmas. It is hard to know which kind of style people prefer and indeed which I prefer- I love the emotions that come with making a video set to music but I also know that I would like to look back and hear my little girls voices a bit more. I guess I will just do a bit of both. My photography has definitely taken a back seat over the latter part of the year, a lot of it down to pregnancy and not having the energy to take photos and I have stopped taking my DSLR out a lot of time- I want this to change a lot more in 2016 and for me to get back into photographing things just for the love of it again.

So what are my goals for 2016?

Well to be honest they are a little bit more of the same really. I still want to try and grow my blog as much as I can, as well as improve my photography, I know that a lot of it is down to pregnancy but I feel like I haven’t really been trying blog wise as much as I have done previously. I have got out of the habit of writing posts and I want to get back into enjoying blogging for the sake of blogging a bit more. I feel like I am stuck in a rut a bit photography and blog wise and I am still struggling a little with what I want to write about- I worry that my posts aren’t interesting and I don’t have a particular niche. My main thing is that I am going to try and take more photos with my ‘big camera’ instead of relying on my iPhone, of course I take my DSLR out when we go away, but I mean more just day to day things and in the house. I took this photo of Mads on her birthday and it reminded me just how lovely it feels when you take a photo that completely captures that person you love and that you are proud of.

I want to try and grow my You Tube channel but that is a mission in itself, I am loving learning more about vlogging and video though and editing videos is one of my favourite things to do- I know that we will all love to look back on them in years to come and at the end of the day that is the most important thing- that we record our family memories.

While I feel like I have got my work/life balance much better over the course of 2015, I want to try and become more organised with the time I do work in 2016. I am exceptionally lucky that my blog makes up most of my income (as does brand consultancy, blogger outreach and social media management) which is a dream come true, but that does sometimes mean that I never know when to start and switch off. It isn’t like an office job where you go in and do set hours, the hours could be during nap time, in the evening or even at 4am when I can’t sleep. I want to try and manage my time better and be more organised and efficient during the two days when LL is at nursery as towards the latter part of the year I have been terrible at managing my time during the days she is at nursery.

Mr E bought me an amazing gift for Christmas, a gorgeous planner from Kikki K and rather than have lots of diaries, to do lists and notebooks for different things like I did in 2015, I am hoping this year to put everything into one planner. I have spent a lot of time over the Christmas break customising it (and I didn’t realise there is a whole community of stationary and planning geeks out there!) and making it into an all in one source for my organisation- I have the usual diary things which I am making look pretty with stickers, but then I also have a separate blogging section, with sections for blog post ideas, brand collaborations etc, and then a client section too. I have never been one to particularly care about my social media stats, I don’t do competitions on my blog so they aren’t particularly high, but I even have a section that I am recording my stats for each month- mainly cause I found social media stickers and they look so pretty! I have even customised the dividers with wash tape and stickers. I actually find it really therapeutic organising it, customising it and making it pretty, so I have really enjoyed doing that and hopefully will continue to do so, and as a result will be more proactive with my time.

Mr E also bought me a gorgeous Gratitude Journal from the same company. The idea is to take a few moments each day to write down three things, big, small or tiny, that you are thankful for that day. It could be something as small as having a yummy hot chocolate with cream, but the idea is to look around and appreciate what you have. I often say how lucky we are to Mr E, as we definitely are, but I love the idea of spending a little bit of time being really thankful for what we have got.

I haven’t set any goals fitness wise this year, I am enjoying growing my little boy bump and I am in no rush to think about things like that yet. There is no point setting some goals as it is a long time away. I would like to drink more water (I say that every year) but I am just awful at remembering to drink. Sometimes I won’t even have drunk a glass in a whole day. I want to carry on being a good Mummy to my girls and making more time for them, especially in the evenings when I want to make sure I help Mads practice her reading. I would also like for Mads to join some more clubs and activities as because we have travelled so much last year we haven’t really invested in her doing anything outside out of school. We have signed her up to do guitar lessons and she is on the list for Rainbows too.

I would love to go on some more adventures. Travelling is my passion and I love nothing more than hopping on a plane, or in a car, heading off somewhere new and spending time with the people I love most. 2015 was the most incredible year for travelling and while I am certain 2016 will not be anywhere near as busy travel wise what with a newborn, I would love to still explore and have some days out, weekends away and maybe a summer holiday with my little family. I get so twitchy when there is nothing in the diary, adventures however big or small definitely make me happy.

And that’s it really. There is nothing particularly unachievable on there, I basically just want to live as happy life as possible. I am so thankful for this blog enabling me to stay at home with my girls and to be able to do a job I love. I just need to continue to work at it, while being the best Mummy I can. As after all a page view, a like, or anything else, they are gratifying and of course they help to support us financially, as well as recording our happy memories, but they aren’t the most important thing. The most important thing is to live life, enjoy it and be as present as can be.

If you haven’t joined in ‘the ordinary moments’ before and are looking for a new project for 2016 then I would love to have you. I am probably the worst ‘host’ in the world- there are no rules and I don’t have particularly have a badge, but I just think it is so important to record those little moments. Nowadays blogging is so much about the extraordinary times, the brand collaborations and the perfectly styled photos, it is great to go back to basis and remember why most of us started our blogs- to record our family lives.

When I started the ordinary moments project way back in 2013, I wrote this…

{the ordinary moments}

โ€˜The simple things in life are often the sweetest.  While the fancy days out, weekends away or holidays are fun, itโ€™s the ordinary moments I will miss when my children are all grown up.  The snuggling in bed reading a story.  The giggles as they run around my overgrown garden with the grass that desperately needs a cut.  Even the naughty ones.  The ones we all have.

Just a photo from your week.  The simple.   The exciting.  The imperfect.  The Ordinary Moments.โ€™

I still really believe that to this day and I am so happy that I have the simplest and happiest (and the not so happy) moments recorded on my blog. This year I am going to try and use my DSLR more than I have been, but you can also use whatever camera you have on you, most of the time I use my iPhone. It can be about your children, you, a style post of what you have worn, a emotional rambling post or a post about your home- just as long as it captures your life.

If you fancy joining in, you can join in every week, every once in a while, or whenever you feel like it. I write a post every Sunday and the linky stays open until the following Saturday evening so you can add your post at any time, but of course it is better to do it in the first day or so as otherwise I write other posts and it might not be seen as well. You can link up a post you have already written, a post that tells a story, a post that only has a photo, a video from you tube, just whatever you have captured that week.

If you share it on twitter, or instagram, make sure you hashtag #theordinarymoments, or tag me in it so I can see it too and can RT it or share it myself. There are no rules, just please do try and comment on a couple of the other entries- as otherwise what is the point if no one is reading or interacting.

Hopefully it will inspire you to share your ordinary moments too. x

Given what an amazing year 2015 was for you, more of the same sounds like a good idea to me! And I do like your planner and journal, pretty and useful and stickers is a winning combination! Here’s to a wonderful balanced adventurous year!

    • Katie Ellison says:

I definitely think 2016 is going to be quieter. But all being well it will be quieter with a snuggly newborn. The best kind of quiet I think. x

  • Alison says:

Loved reading this Katie. I think it’s important to reflect on our achievements and work out what we want from the year ahead. You’ve done so much and 2016 will be an exciting year for you all. Xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Definitely, I am a really reflective person and I love a good chance to ponder and think about what I want to do with the year if possible. x

  • Beautiful. You achieved sooooooo much last year and it’s great that you can look back and see that you attained what you were trying to achieve. I bought that planner last night, how funny is that? I found Kikki-K looking at the gratitude journal Mr E had got you. This is something I have done for a few years but didn’t have a specific ‘journal’ for, just a usual pretty notebook. He chose really well as they are so much more beautiful than the ones I saw on Amazon. Your goals for this year are great. I like both your style of YouTube videos. We’re trying to work on that more. We don’t have any subscribers really, but I love watching them back. It makes me and the kids so happy. Looking forward to this year and beyond for you guys. Here’s to 2016, and recording the ordinary xxxx cheers

    • Katie Ellison says:

I really love it, he definitely chose well, I just pointed him in the direction of the website and he chose the bits and pieces. It is hard to know what to do You Tube wise and which direction to go in, I love both! I definitely think thats the most important thing lovely, just to love doing it and if your passion shines through then more and more people will watch it. At least here is hoping of both of us! ๐Ÿ˜‰ x

  • Anna-Marie says:

Last year was definitely a good year for you and I think this year is going to be just as good ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love your diary, I have a. Similar one {Filofax} and it’s really helped me plan my blog life and my life.. Also. Absolutely adore that picture of Mads! Such a beautiful girl X

  • What a superb year (both personally and professionally) you’ve had – and another very exciting year ahead! You will definitely be going through a lot of change in 2016 – welcoming a new member to your family, but how VERY exciting! I don’t think you need to analyse your blog too much – you have a lovely blog and incredible social media following and people adore you. But, I know what you mean about wanting to get a little more focused and organised. Me too! I have lots of ideas for this year – I just need to plan a little better. That planner is amazing!! Lush! Looking forward to reading more from you, and meeting your little guy this year. Happy new year – love Jess xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

I still can’t believe that it was us experiencing all those adventures in 2015. I do think 2016 will be a lot quieter but hopefully all being well just as good. And thank you for your kind words about my blog, I really appreciate it lovely. x

  • Mary says:

Oh man that planner – HELLO!!! What a gorgeous gift and wonderful thing to have. I really am looking forward to following more of your lives moments and adventures as well as others whom link up. Love this linky and glad I found it last year :) WHOOP!!!

I REALLY need to improve my photography. I need to get a decent camera and learn some skills, I love beautiful pics and a phone just doesn’t always do the situation justice. Lovely pics and like I say – excited for another year of connecting :) xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Thanks lovely, I love the planner, he definitely did good. I am really looking forward to reading your ordinary moments this year as well, I love catching up with your family. x

  • Love that planner! I keep eyeing up the Kikki K website and willing my boss to hurry up and pay me so I can have a bit of a spending spree! I quite fancy a gratitude journal aswell to help me appreciate the good things because I often find them hard to find. I love your photography, you have some stunning pics on your blog. I treated myself to a DSLR (which I’m STILL waiting for to be delivered) just after Christmas and I can’t wait to get cracking and taking some beautiful pics. You’ve had such a great year, hope 2016 is just as good for you all x

    • Katie Ellison says:

The Kikki K website is gorgeous, I spend far too much time on it! I think the gratitude journal is a really nice way of being thankful and remembering what is important. Good luck with your new toy! x

  • Pamela says:

Oh my goodness – that diary is gorgeous! Getting on the Kikki K website right away!

I’m hoping to join in with Ordinary Moments this year – I’ve loved reading the linky over 2015. Good luck with your 2016 goals :-)

    • Katie Ellison says:

You will spend too much money on there, I warn you! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you and really looking forward to you joining in! :) x

  • Rebecca says:

You have had an amazing year and you’ve got an exciting year ahead of you with the arrival of your little boy. You’ve set some great goals. I too struggle with finding a balance between editing videos and spending time with James so I want to make sure at least a few evenings a night, I’m not on my laptop all night x x

    • Katie Ellison says:

Thanks lovely, hopefully the goals are achievable. It is so important to get a balance isn’t it? We don’t want to look back in years to come and think we spent all our time on the computer! Good luck with it! x

  • Gemma says:

I’ve been following the ordinary moments for years now, I absolutely love them and it’s one of the reasons I wanted to start my very own blog! (Literally started!, so much to learn!!!)I love the idea of recording memories and like you said not just the big exciting days but the little moments, tender moments, the things that real memories are made of!
Also sooo have stationary envy on the gratitutude book……. May have to pop on line now!

    • Katie Ellison says:

Ah thank you for your such lovely words Gemma and I am really pleased you like the ordinary moments. Good luck with your new blog, how exciting! And if you ever need advice just shout! xx

  • lucy says:

I totally appreciate the work you’ve put into that planner!!! It’s definitely a girl thing as Rich just looked over my shoulder and asked if you were a child using all those stickers. I think it’s nice to have a new diary and a fresh start with organising everything with a new year, I know that for me there is nothing quite like those new, crisp, clean, white pages to inspire me to do things better in the coming year. x

  • OH that organiser – it makes me happy seeing it look so pretty and, well, organised! Stationary porn indeed!!
I love that your blog is truly you. That’s what I want to do this year – write what I want, when I want. Your blog photography is incredibly inspiring. Look forward to seeing another little face gracing the blog in the coming months. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and very blessed 2016 xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

You can’t beat a bit of stationary porn! Thank you lovely, I really appreciate that. Wishing you a happy 2016 as well! xx

  • I am really hoping to spend some time linking up to #theordinarymoments this year Katie. I want to spend a little bit of time making sure I have more time for my girlies this year now I’ve stopped working full time. Onwards and upwards for 2016.

    • Katie Ellison says:

I would love for you to join in more Karen, that would be great. You have such an adventure to look forward to now you have finished work. x

  • I had to come back and comment again…. what you commented on my blog got me thinking. I LOVE your blog because it isn’t gimmicky, you don’t need to fill it with restaurant reviews or food recipes to keep bringing back readers (not that there’s anything wrong with that, I respect those that work their butts off to keep providing helpful info that gets their readers hooked). It’s just your blog is full of love, emotion drips from the pages, it is an epic love story between you, Mr E and your beautiful children, and that is pure magic. No gimmicks could ever recreate that. It doesn’t matter that you don’t post that often. Your words are always gold, pure and true. For that I will always click as soon as I see a new post xxx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Oh lovely thank you for coming back and commenting again, you are lovely. You are so sweet. Thank you, this comment made my day. xx

  • There’s nothing quite like a new planner for motivation, is there?! I picked up a nice Rifle Paper Co one middle of last year and it’s made my rather mundane lists feel way more exciting. Reflecting is a new thing for me and I’ve only just realised how important it can be. I can be rather blasรฉ about achievements. I gloss over them without taking the time to actually let them sink in and give myself a pat on the back for all the hard work that I’ve put in. I’ve just been laughing too as I made some very basic blogging goals for 2016 along the lines of growing my different social media accounts by X amount. I had something along the lines of improving my twitter following by 500 by the end of 2016 and then I read that Aby from You Baby Me Mummy intends to grow hers by around 5,000+ and felt completely embarrassed by my utter lack of ambition. She puts me to shame!! Happy new year, my darling. 2016 is going to be super exciting for you (but maybe slightly damp, too … changing boys’ nappies is a whole different challenge).

    • Katie Ellison says:

Definitely I love a bit of stationary porn to get me refreshed and ready for the new year. I definitely think reflecting is so important as well. I don’t ever have any goals for growing my social media as I don’t do competitions on my blog (neither do you do you?) so mine go up at a ridiculously steady pace too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ You have great ambition silly! Happy New Year to you too lovely. xx

  • Becky says:

I have been following your blog for a little while and The Ordinary Moments really inspired me to start my own blog so I have dived in and had a go! Really looking forward to looking at your lovely pictures in 2016 and seeing your new arrival xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Ah wonderful Becky I am so glad that the ordinary moments inspired you to start your own blog, you won’t regret it. It takes a bit of time to get people to read it but you will love it I am sure. Shout if you ever need any advice and happy new year! x

  • Sherry says:

Your journal and planners look lovely and Mr E did very well! Watching and reading about your adventures in 2015 was a real pleasure, and i genuinely am thrilled you are running The Ordinary Moments again this year, with more fabulous memories on the cards x

  • Ali says:

Gorgeous planner! I too am a little addicted to the stickers for mine at the moment!! And I wouldn’t worry at all about your blog, I think you have the perfect niche of your own :-)

    • Katie Ellison says:

Thanks Ali, oh the stickers! I could go mad. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you as well, I think we all over analyse ourselves and I worry that my posts get boring or a bit repetitive. x

  • LauraCYMFT says:

I love the gratitude book! What a great idea. It’s important to be thankful for anything no matter how big or small especially when your small thing could be a huge thing to someone else. I’m sure 2016 will be a fantastic year for you all with your little boy arriving and bringing a whole new adventure for you x

    • Katie Ellison says:

It is a lovely idea isn’t it? Thank you lovely, all being well 2016 should be a great year. Hope it is for you too. x

  • Your planner looks gorgeous and seriously puts my filofax to shame! I’m really looking forward to linking up with you again this year, writing these posts has been my favourite part of writing a blog. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and new year xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Haha I loved customising it, Mr E said I was like a ten year old girl! I am really excited to have you joining in again for another year, your posts are always some of my favourites to read. x

  • Hannah says:

I love your journal and planner, Mr E is very good at gift buying! I love ordinary moments too, and the way it makes me think about my week, and about the moments I am grateful for and happiest about. Its good to focus on the positives, I am absoloutly sure I will miss these years when the little ones are all grown up! Happy New Year x

    • Katie Ellison says:

He is, he is a lot more thoughtful than me when it comes to presents, I need to up my game. And thank you lovely, I really enjoy reading yours each week. Looking forward to reading more during 2016. x

  • Donna says:

I love your achievable goals – and I adore your planner. What a beautiful gift x

  • Notmyyearoff says:

I think they’re brill of goals and ones that I think you will smash by the end of th year. I’m still having a think about mine. Last year mine were all about going places and adventure. This year they seem to be a lot more internally focused and toned down. I think with the new baby it’s probably toned it down a bit as I can’t be running off in all directions for a bit :)

    • Katie Ellison says:

I hope so, I tried to make them quite achievable. I definitely think I will be joining you in the quietness this year with a newborn come spring. While I love to travel and it is my favourite thing in the world, I am looking forward to this year being more peaceful and enjoying time at home. x

  • What a year 2015 has been for you… And what a year 2016 is set to be too. A slightly different “adventure” to all the travelling you have been doing this year I suspect! So exciting! And I LOVE your planner! Anything with coloured pens, mashing tape and stickers and you have my vote!x

    • Katie Ellison says:

I hope 2016 will be just as good, I am sure it will all being well. And yes definitely a different kind of adventure! x

  • That planner is just gorgeous. I’ve tried using a filofax one before but found it awkward to write in with the rings in the way so gave up on it. I might have another go though if my current planner doesn’t work out. I can (and do!) spend hours on Pinterest looking at how other people customise their planners, it’s pretty addictive for what it’s worth! I adore your journal too. I have a pretty notebook that my husband bought me in June, when I went into hospital, that I haven’t found a use for yet, because you know, it’s too pretty! I think I might use it as a gratitude journal.

    • Katie Ellison says:

I normally take the pages out as I agree it is a bit of a pain writing next to the rings. And I agree pinterest is a total time waster for that! x

  • Your planner looks fabulous, Mr E is very clever, what a great present. You have had such an awesome 2015 and I just know that 2016 will be even better. Lots of love x

    • Katie Ellison says:

Thanks lovely, I have really enjoyed customising it, he definitely got me a lovely gift. Here is hoping 2016 is just as good. x

  • What a year 2015 was for you! I have read in awe about all the trips you’ve had and lovely things that have happened to you, such as holiday’s, a new car, a new kitchen to name a few. I admire you so much for how hard you work on this blog, as you don’t get given those opportunities for not working your socks off and being the best at what you do. I think it’s so easy for people who don’t blog, to look at it like you are given things for ‘free’. If only they knew how many hours all you bloggers put into their blogs! I know in the past you’ve said you and Mr E struggled for money when Mads was young and I think it’s wonderful that you are now able to reap the rewards of all your hard work. One of the many, many reasons I love your blog is because you write with such passion. Whether writing about your girls, your kitchen or a trip, I believe in what you write and it totally captures me, which is why I keep coming back for more ๐Ÿ˜‰ Looking back over this year, it has been incredible for you and I have a feeling 2016 is going to be much of the same. A whole new experience for you being a boy Mummy and a whole new chapter for you all!
And I have serious planner envy now too…it’s sooo beautiful!! :) xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Oh thank you so much for this comment Nic, it made me a little emotional. I am eternally grateful for the opportunities I have had this year, of course it is hard work but hard work is all relative and I love doing it. We did struggle with money when Mads was a baby and I am so proud of us for sorting ourselves out and getting comfortable. Thank you for being so lovely. Happy New Year to you all. x

  • Kirsty says:

Lovely post as always Katie. The planner is gorgeous and I love Kikki-K! Just joined in with your link for the first time after messaging you months ago about it! Thank you again for the advice :)

  • Lovely planner and Gratitude book, I’m still hunting for my ideal planner, I have my ‘personal life’ one but still searching for the blog/work one. This one looks fab and I love how you can personalise it. The Gratitude one is fab, I have printed some really lovely journal prompts to do each day this year and really enjoying it so far in my nice new notebook. Reflecting on years that have passed is so lovely in many ways, and also give you more perspective for what goals you want to achieve right? fab goals here and i have no doubt you’ll achieve them after the fab year you’ve had :) I am still thinking about mine as I tend to list and list then nothing becomes realistic! so focusing hard, especially with baby arriving in April too! April is going to be such a busy month for us both! Happy new year, wonderful post xxx

    • Katie Ellison says:

I really love this one, I have spent far too much customising it. I think having a nice new diary or planner really helps you get organised for a new year. Happy New Year to you too lovely. x

  • Tanita says:

I just love your planner. It’s lovely. I sometimes question exactly what my niche is on my blog. When I read your blog your niche is so very clear to me. It’s love and family and so much more it’s honest and genuine and that attracts me so much to your blog because I know I am reading something real and from your heart. I love that. You can’t put money on that. It’s beautiful to be able to read an extract from your life, the way you write and beautifully display your posts inspires others in so many ways, you words are from your heart and that’s really meaningful. It’s fulfilling to read. xx

    • Katie Ellison says:

Thanks lovely, I love it too. I think as bloggers and as humans in general we question ourselves a lot. I often question my niche but it is lovely to hear your words about it, I really appreciate it. It’s made my day. I love yours funnily enough for the very same thing, you write from the heart too. x

  • Marietta says:

I really love the fact you started making more videos and was a bit sad when vlogmas finished and i didnt have your early morning video to watch eating my breakfast ???? I prefer the arty videos with the music to be honest but I understand what you mean about remembering the little voices. If you check the Michalaks (Hannah Maggs) on youtube for inspiration think they have a great balance between art and vlogs on their videos xx

  • Katie your blog is amazing, you have achieved so much and are an inspiration. I hope you achieve all you want this year. I think sometimes although you work incredibly hard there is a little part of you that thinks its luck. Well, thats how I feel anyway, I sometimes think If I can achieve what I achieved last year I will be happy. And that planner swooooon, I love it. I have been looking for a Blue one I even have a pin board so off to check these out now xx

  • Kateโœš says:

Great goals Katie. And what an exciting year you have ahead! I have a little obsession with Kikki K too. Planning is so much more fun with pretty stationery ๐Ÿ˜‰ x

Oh I love this Katie so organized and ready to take on the year ahead. Especially with your kikki k amazing haul here. That’s the same company I got your planner for you from. I absolutely adore their stuff wish it was easier to get from Aussie though why can’t they have a UK branch I mean really. lol What a great pressie go Mr E! Impressive on the gratitude book I love that idea. I have so much I want to work on especially for myself slowing down, living life without rushing things as much as I used to. Otherwise it passes us by doesn’t it? Will be back to link up next week. Just catching up now. Happy New Year lovely!

  • Katie such a wonderful post as always. I always find your posts inspirational and humbling whatever you write about. Your resolutions and goals are perfect and what we all wish for….being happy! 2016 is going to be an extra special year for you and I am sure anything but quiet. Your planner is beautiful (good buy Mr E)-i love all the planner community on Instagram and am ordering some stickers and bits to make my passion planner a little more colourful!! Making it beautiful i really think helps with using it to its potential. I can’t wait for another year of Ordinary Moments thanks for hosting and heres to a great 2016 x

  • I’m going to try and join in a little more this year Katie as it was always one of my favourite linkies. I think my blogging was so up and down last year I dropped off most of the linkies, I’m hoping to have a bit more time for it this year but my twins are on the verge of giving up naps. I’m trying to keep them going but some days it just isn’t happening! I loved following your blog last year and all your adventures and I can’t wait to see what this year brings with such a big change in your lovely family. I’m trying so hard to be more organised this year and bought a diary I had started to beautify but I last saw it in Arthur’s hands a week ago and having seen it since!! Love your planner and journal, I’ve got a notebook I’ve started writing in just random things and it feels good to write with pen and paper, I hope you enjoy them both this year and a belated Happy New Year lovely xx
