Cow & Gate- Supergroup.
For the first six months of Mads life I felt comfortable knowing that I was giving Mads all the nutrients she needed through breast milk. However when we began weaning her I didn't always feel knowledgable that what I was giving her was meeting her nutritional needs. Even now as a toddler I still worry whether she is getting enough nutrients to help her grow big and strong.
We stopped breastfeeding at eleven months, mainly because my milk supply had dwindled down to nothing and also because I was going back to work three days a week. We went straight on to giving her cows milk, but for some people that isn't an option. I didn't realise, mainly through lack of knowledge on my part, that companies like Cow & Gate actually do follow on and toddler milk that gives those fast growing little people all the nutrients they need.
Cow and Gate are one of the companies I instantly think of when it comes to milk and food for babies, in fact my my Mum says she used to feed me Cow and Gate milk when I was growing up- I was a formula baby. While Cow and Gate fully support and actively encourage breastfeeding, something with I feel strongly about that companies should do, the fact remains that not everyone can or wants to breastfeed their baby. Therefore it is important to know that if you can't, or don't want to breastfeed, that there is a company out there who cares about what you feed your baby as much as you do. Cow and Gate even has a dedicated careline and forum for parents who have any questions. I hope that I can breastfeed our new baby, but if the circumstances arise that I can't- it is nice to know that there is a company you can turn to for support if you need it, no one should be made to feel guilty for their choice.
Mads ate a fair few Cow & Gate jars when we first started weaning- they have a lot of different flavours and I found them perfect for taking out and about with you. They make sure that they have meat, fruit and vegetables grown especially for them- Mads found them very yummy indeed. In fact they have just started a new campaign, which is all about helping Feed Their Personalities. It features some very cute children having a quick boogie- there is nothing more Mads likes to do than dance and make a noise! Check out the video below, and if you do want to learn more about milk and food for your baby or toddler, you should definitely check out Cow & Gate.
