Inspired- A Dress For A Wedding.
I am a very naughty friend and didn't participate in Lucy's linky last week as to be honest I wasn't feeling very inspired. However I am back now and my brain is just full of ideas and thoughts, and I have a very busy week ahead of me.
Rather than focus on important things such as work, I instead thought I would write about something a little more easy going. My lovely Dad is getting married in April and they are having a rather low key wedding, they have been together a long time so it will just be a small do with family and friends.
However just because it is a small party doesn't mean that we girls don't want to look nice. And of course the most important person that is going to be there (well after the bride and groom!) is my little Mads. She is the only grandchild at the moment and therefore the apple of everyone's eye. It is only right therefore that she has a super beautiful dress for the day and I have been looking online to find inspiration.
They are getting married and then having a party with outside caterers in their garden so we don't want anything too over the top, but of course being that we are very girly girls, there is sure to be something out there that we like.
Here are some of my favourites...
I love this dress from Gap and I think Mads would look super cute in it- it is a lovely material and really pretty with the hot pink netting underneath.
I love this John Lewis flower dress. I really do adore the little traditional smock dresses as they remind me of what my Mum used to dress me in when I was little. Mads had quite a few of these when she was a tiny baby. This one is adorable.
Also by John Lewis is this purple flowery dress- Mads really suits purple and I just think this dress is a little different. It will also be good for hiding messy food stains of which there will be a lot of if Mads is anything to go by!

Finally I love this dress from Laura Ashley. I love the fact it is a little quirky with the umbrella's all over it, although lets hope it doesn't rain on their wedding day and we have sunshine like we did last April when it was scorching on some days. My only concern with this one is it may not be enough of a party dress but if it is in their garden do you think it matters?
I am still looking so if you have bought a dress for your little one recently do let me know and I will check it out, or if you could let me know your favourite from the above that would be great. And while you are at it, why not head over to Dear Beautiful Boy and get some inspiration of your own?
