My Week That Was #30

on Sunday, 29 July 2012.

This week has been lovely, and the sun has been shining which makes the week go a lot quicker.  Everyone is also a lot happier as well, although there has been rain here today which doesn't look promising for next week!

Without further ado here is My Week That Was...

Monday was a work day- it wasn't very fun and nothing remotely excited happened as is always the way.  We didn't go over to my Mum's for our usual dinner because we went to a BBQ on the previous Sunday so I came home and chilled out.

Tuesday was the Next Mummy Blogger Event.  We had a fantastic time and I took a holiday day off work to attend.  It was definitely worth it and both myself and Mads enjoyed the day.  There were pamper sessions, childrens entertainers, and goody bags, but more about that in a separate post.

Wednesday I worked in the morning and then came back in the afternoon and went out for some lunch with my sister as the sun was shining.  We sat in a pub beer garden and I had a tasty steak and caramelised onion bagel and chips, followed off by a sneaky ice cream for pudding.  It was lovely.  In the evening I chilled out with Mr E and ate dinner al fresco in the garden.

Thursday morning I went into town with my Mum and she treated us to an early lunch, we wandered round the shops and went to Clarks to buy Mads some new shoes but unfortunately they didn't have any we liked.  We then came home and got the paddling pool out and played in the garden for the rest of the day.  In the afternoon while Mads arrived I tidied my house ready for my mother in laws arrival at about 5.30.  In the evening we relaxed and Mr E cooked us a nice meal.

Friday Mads, my MIL and I went over to my Mums salon to say hello and also because the village where it is and where I grew up is beautiful.  We then came home and chilled out at home while Mads had her usual massive three hour sleep.  I like to come home unless we are having a day out because I don't want these naps to stop!  In the evening Mr E cooked his world famous risotto and we watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

Saturday we got up bright and early and went to Whipsnade Zoo for the day.  We had a great time, and Mads loved the animals, especially the sealions and the giraffes.  The sun shined and we ate ice creams and generally had lots of fun.  In the evening we were going to go out for a date night but were so tired after our busy day that we stayed in and had chinese.

Sunday has been a chill out day.  We went for a nice long walk in the morning by the river and then in the afternoon Mads had a long nap so I caught up on some valuable photo editing!  Now we are all relaxing and watching the Olympics.
