My Week That Was #32
This past week feels a really long week, I don't know why but it seems a million years ago since we were in Brighton last weekend.
Without further ado here is My Week That Was...

Monday should have been a work day but I hadn't been feeling well so I decided that I needed a well deserved day off. Both myself and Mr E have had funny tummys but on top of that I had a migraine so I was glad I spent the day at home relaxing. In the evening we went up to my Mum's for dinner so I didn't have to cook- we had spag bol which is something she used to cook for dinner when I was younger and poorly- proper comfort food!
Tuesday I felt worse so had another day off, Mads went off shopping with my Mum and Auntie Paula and when they came back they had completely spoilt her rotten- she had lots of new clothes and some baby ugg boots. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful support network who love my little girl as much as we do.
Wednesday I had a appointment in the morning and then in the afternoon I went over to meet my Mum and Grandma for some lunch which was lovely- my Grandma had been having a pedicure at my Mum's salon. We went and sat in the pub, and I had a very yummy treat of scampi and chips followed by Malteaser Cheesecake. I then had a pedicure done at my Mum's salon which was nice.
Thursday we met my Mum in Tescos randomly and then met friends at our local baby group for a bit of an outside messy play session. We then came home and Mads had a nap while I tidied the house. In the evening my Grandparents came over for dinner- we had a roast. Would you believe that they haven't been to our house since we moved in two years ago, and they only live half an hour away? We go to theirs most weeks for dinner and have just got into a routine- we will definitely be having them over more often as it is nice for my Grandma not to have too cook for us.
Friday we went over to our friends for a play date in the morning- the sun was shining so we had a picnic in the garden for lunch- it is lovely how the babies are starting to really communicate with each other. In the afternoon Mads had a nap and I lay on the sofa and did nothing for once. In the evening I went out for dinner with my good friend, she announced she was pregnant with her second which is lovely- she is only six weeks but it is still so exciting. I also got the fantastic news that I am going to be bridesmaid for one of my good friends Claire at her wedding next year- she was one of mine so I am thrilled to be returning the favour.
Saturday we got up early and went over to the lovely little village where my Mum's salon is, we called in to say hello to everyone and then went for a nice long walk in the grounds of where I used to go to school, and took a few photos. We stopped off at Tesco's to get lunch and then came home and had a nice afternoon at home, Mr E did some gardening while I did some blogging and edited some photos! In the evening he cooked us my favourite ever dinner of risotto and we snuggled on the sofa.
Sunday has been another chilled out day. We got up and I started cooking this weeks recipe in the cookery competition I am doing- Sunblushed tomato flatbreads. They look pretty hideous and are in the oven as we speak so I am not sure how much of them will be eaten. We popped over to see my Mum for a bit and then went into town and I bought a couple of bits of clothing and Mr E bought some spray paint for his bike. Now Mads is asleep, I am writing this and Mr E is outside fiddling with his bike. In the evening we are going over to my Dads for dinner.
And that was My Week That Was.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn't just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.
