My Week That Was #34
This week has flown by and we are in the middle of the long weekend which is always lovely. Without further ado here is My Week That Was.

Monday I normally work but as I had an all day meeting on Friday I had the day off. It was lovely as I went out for the day with my Mum, sister and Mads. We went swimming in a beach pool near us which was really good fun- I never see Mads as happy as when she is swimming, she just loves it and squeals with delight the whole time. We then went for some lunch at Frankie and Benny's which was lovely too. As my Mum now owns her salon, we don't get as much time to do things together anymore so it was nice to see them both for the day.
Tuesday was a work day- it was incredibly boring and not much happened. In the evening we went over to my Mums for dinner but she had a headache and couldn't be bothered to cook so we had Dominoes Pizza- yummy but very unhealthy!
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then it is my afternoon to myself to get freelance work and jobs done- however I nipped into town after work to see if I could find some clothes as I don't want to stretch my normal ones. Last time with Mads I was all bump but I got away with buying normal clothes, just cheap ones that I didn't mind stretching. I have a couple of maternity bits but I find them quite unfashionable and frumpy, plus you pay for the fact that the label says 'maternity.' I lived in leggings and normal tops with Mads. I wasn't very successful though and didnt find many that I liked on Wednesday.
Thursday was our day off- we were going to go to a crocodile farm near us for cake and a play but there was an accident on the road so instead we met our friends at the park and had a play before going to a little children's coffee shop near us. In the afternoon Mads had a nice long sleep and so did I. In the evening I went out for dinner with my baby friends, it was lovely and we had a great time. I was home by 11 and woke up the next morning without a hangover!
Friday I had to go to my work annual meeting. It wasn't very exciting, but more so than sitting at my desk all day- they always have it in a lovely venue near our office and it is a chance to mingle with my old team from my previous job role. It was a long day of listening and interacting though and by the end of it I was shattered. I got home, late after sitting in traffic for over an hour, to a wonderful hubby. He had run me a bubble bath, made me a music playlist on the ipad, bought some chocolate, and got my book all ready for me. He also had downloaded a chick flick for us to watch and made risotto. He is one in a million.
Saturday we got up and went to Cambridge for the day. We got Mads feet measured which have gone up a whole size but there were no shoes in any of the shoe shops that we liked, so we will have to order some online. We looked for some more clothes for me of which I found one top I liked! We also went to Pizza Hut for some lunch- I love Pizza Hut, the pizza's remind me of being small as when we were little it was a treat to go there as there weren't many other places catered for families. Mads had a long sleep so we wandered around the shops, and went for a walk along the river. I got my engagement and wedding ring cleaned from the jewellers where Mr E got them from, I love having them polished as they make the platinum and stones come up super sparkly. The jeweller asked how long I had left in my pregnancy, he looked a bit shocked when I said a long time! In the evening we lazed in front of the TV and watched X factor.
Sunday has been a lovely chilled out day- we went to the park in the morning so Mads could go on her smart trike. At lunch we went to one of our local pub's for a roast dinner with my little sister, it was very yummy- can't beat a good pub roast. In the afternoon Mads had a long nap and both myself and Mr E fell asleep on the sofa. They both have now gone out to the park and to the supermarket to get dinner for tonight while I am chilling and catching up on some blogging.

And that was My Week That Was.
