My Week That Was #35
My Week That Was is running a little late this week because yesterday I was all snuggled watching a film and couldn't be bothered to type. So here we are a day late but without further ado here is My Week That Was.

Monday was bank holiday which was lovely to have some time off. We didn't do a great deal, just chilled out and pottered around at home doing house bits and some spring cleaning. It was nice to relax and enjoy some time together without rushing around. Mads got a new present from Grandma and Grandpa so we enjoyed taking that for a spin!
Tuesday was a work day and I had a project to do which kept me very busy and entertained. Other than that not much happened at all.
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon I went for some lunch with my sister which was nice. We then came home and relaxed and watched a film, I should have been doing some freelance work but I am so tired at the moment I like to do nothing with my afternoon on my own!
Thursday was my day off and Mads and I went over to a friends house for a play date. Whereas before I used to have seven or eight babies in my house and be fine, now I find it complete mayhem and I must admit to not volunteering my house unless there are only a couple of people about. There were six of us there and there were toddlers and toys everywhere but it was very good fun. In the afternoon Mads had a three hour nap and Mummy decided to have a nap too.
Friday was another day off, I had my 16 week midwife appointment in the morning where Mads and I got to hear Bug's heartbeat, this was a gorgeous sound to hear. We then went over to my Mum's salon where I got my nails done before coming home and having another long nap. In the evening the three of us went over to our friends for a sleepover- it was great fun, Mads and Harry played non stop before going to bed, Mr E and my friends husband went out for some drinks and myself and my friend who is also 8 weeks pregnant relaxed, ate chinese takeaway and pick and mix.
Saturday we got up and played with our friends some more before coming home and having a big spring clean of the house and relaxed at home. My Dad and his wife came over and babysat so Mr E and I could go out on a date night. It is the first time anyone has put Mads to bed but us, but she was as good as gold, and ended up sleeping 14 hours straight instead of her usual 13! We had a great night out, and ate our body weight in Italian food. It is lovely to have a date night where it can just be me and Mr E.
Sunday we were treated to a 9.20am lie in by Mads and then we got up and had a morning at home. We then went into town to buy a few a bits for the house, whilst there we were treated to the first ever public tantrum. Mads gets tired just before lunch and this tiredness is what caused the tantrum- it was horrible but we survived! We then came home, and Mads had a long nap and so did we! In the afternoon I cooked a chicken and leek pie as part of my Disaster Chef competition which was actually really nice.

And that was My Week That Was.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn't just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.
