My Week That Was #36
We have had a lovely weekend in the sunshine, and now I am super sleepy and ready for the land of nod. Without further ado here is My Week That Was...
Monday was a work day which is never fun, but it was also my lovely husbands birthday. In the evening we went over to my Mum's house and had takeout pizza with my family to celebrate Mr E's day of birth. It was lovely and as the weather was nice we all sat in the garden.
Tuesday was another work day, and nothing remotely exciting happened.
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon it is my time to do my freelance work, I got lots done.
Thursday was the start of my weekend and we met one of my friends for a play in the park and a coffee (or in my case Vanilla milkshake). We then came home and Mads had a long sleep, one of her three hour ones which was very nice. I also had a little nap too, I never want her to drop them but I know the time will come one day.
Friday we walked into town and went to Rhyme time at our local library which was nice, Mads loves singing and dancing. We then went for a picnic in the park with some of our friends, which was lovely, the sun was shining and it was good fun. We then walked home which takes about half an hour and on the way Mads fell asleep, I woke her up straight away, but she just didn't want to nap when we got home. I left her up there for an hour chatting to her 'friends', before I felt bad and realised nap time wasn't going to happen- it is the first time in ages.
Saturday was the weekend and we went for a picnic with Daddy in a local beauty spot. It was lovely and we played, fed the ducks, went for a walk and played in the sandpit park which was great fun. I love those simple things when you just enjoy spending time together. In the afternoon we came home and Mads went back to her usual three hour nap, Mr E spent some time fiddling with his bike and I had a snooze and read my new book. In the evening we snuggled and he cooked my favourite risotto before we shared a whole tub of Ben and Jerrys. Piggies.
Sunday we got up in the morning and met six of our friends in the park for a picnic and a play. It was lovely and I still get shocked by how grown up they all are when they are together. We then went over to my Grandparents house as they were having a party for my Grandpa's 80th birthday. We had a great time, and Mads was the guest of honour after the birthday boy himself. There were about 20 people there, and we sat, chatted, and ate far too much. All in all it was a lovely day.
