My Week That Was #37
We have had a lovely weekend up in Newcastle visiting friends, so tonight is mostly being spent on the sofa watching X Factor and catching up on some blogs.
Without further ado here is My Week That Was.

Monday was a work day and then in the evening we went over to my Mum's as it was my step sisters birthday. We had a lovely time, although Mads hadn't had a long nap on Grandma's watch and was very tired and completely refused her dinner which was a bit stressful.
Tuesday was another work day and nothing very exciting happened at all, although Mr E left me a cute note in the car! We had another dinner refusal in the evening, again due to her being tired I think. Mr E had to send me upstairs to have a bath because I think I was tired and hormonal, and it just stresses me out when she won't eat!
Wednesday I worked in the morning and then in the afternoon I had a consultant appointment about my choice of VBAC or C-Section for Bug. They were really nice and I was in there a long time discussing all my worries and concerns. At the moment my plan of care, as chosen by them, is that I will go in for a growth scan at 36 weeks to see how big the baby is measuring, and then at 40 weeks I will go in for another appointment with the consultant. Due to Mads size I will not be induced and if I haven't gone into natural labour I will have an elective c-section between 40-41 weeks. I am not still not sure if this is what I want but I am going to go along with it and see how I feel as I get nearer to my due date.
Thursday is my day off and this one was not exception- I headed off on the train to Blog Camp London for the day. I had a really good day, and it was lovely to see some blogging friends, and learn things as well. After it had ended I went out for dinner with one of my best friends Claire which was lovely, we went to Upper St in Islington where I used to live with Mr E, and it made me feel a bit reminiscent as I do miss London occasionally.
Friday Mr E had the day off, and we headed off early to Newcastle to stay with our good friends. It took us just less than four hours but Mads and I snoozed in the car. After we got there we just chilled out at their house for the afternoon and took Mads and their six month old to the park. In the evening we relaxed over dinner, wine (for some of us!) and enjoyed catching up.
Saturday we woke up and the boys went for a bike ride, while the girls went shopping. In the afternoon we went over to another set of friends who have a four week old son. We had a lovely BBQ and I enjoyed baby snuggles- I forgot how little they do when they are newborns! In the evening we relaxed, watched X factor and I went to bed early as I was so tired.
Sunday we got up early and set off on the journey home. We relaxed at home for the rest of the day, I had a big tidy up, and Mads and Mr E went to the park for a bit. It was a nice quiet day after a busy weekend.

And that was My Week That Was.
If you would like to join up and tell us about your week (or show us your week in photos) the linky is open and will remain open until next Sunday so feel free to join up at any time- doesn't just have to be on a Sunday. You can grab the badge too. Have a good week.

the no eating drama is perfectly normal and it irritates the hell out of me, but dont let it show this in fron of Mads and if she refuses dont make a fuss just tell her there is nothing else, e.g.. no afters. if she still plays up tell her it is being thrown away and go through
with it. it is hard (still face this now) but if she is hungry she will eat it and if not well she will know for next time that you are serious.
(hugs) though as its really hard x x x
this asides it sounds like a lovely week and i am glad your hospital app about the birth went well x
