Last week myself and Lucy at Dear Beautiful Boy started our new joint linky Pretty.Little.Things.  Pretty.Little.Things is just what it says- a photo linky all about all the pretty and lovely things in our lives, mostly involving our children but also involving everything else too.  If you missed the post last week, have a read of it here. 

Each week we will set a theme and this week we decided on 'Going Home Outfits.'  After all we can't be the only two people who thought long and hard about what to bring our special people home in?

Without further ado, here is what we decided on dressing our beautiful Mads in on the day we came back to start our life as a family of three...

 It may just look like your average babygrow but there is a story behind it.  We had always planned to take her home in this because of one very good reason- it matched her brand new nursery.

When I was pregnant, I really couldn't decide how to decorate her nursery- I wanted it unisex (ish) in case we ever are to have a little blue one in the future, but at the same time I wanted pastels.  I am not a big fan of characters on bedding but when I saw the 'My Unusual Friends' set from Marks and Spencer, I just had to have it.  It is just so cute and indulged my wanting of subtle colours. 

We ordered all the accessories from good old Marks and Sparks and the furniture from Mamas and Papas and were thrilled with it all.  A few weeks later my Mum popped over with a little pressie for her unborn granddaughter- a matching 'My Unusual Friends' babygrow.  Which just obviously had to be her going home outfit- going to start her new life in her little outfit to match her new room at her new home, with her new little family.

So there you have it- our going home outfit.
