The New Look Mummy Daddy and Me Makes Three.
I often go through phases where I really fancy a change. Sometimes it is just simple things like changing a particular item of makeup I like, or using a different brand of food. Sometimes it is something a little more, like changing my living room wall colour or other interiors in our home. Sometimes I want to change big things, like my hair colour to something 'different' or get a tattoo but then the *sensible* Mum in me says that would be a bad idea.
I get bored really easily. I can't ever really sit still and concentrate on just one thing- if I am watching television then I am blogging, if I am reading then I am tweeting, if I am talking on the phone then I am pottering around and cleaning the house. At school I was always best at English because my teachers said I had an overactive imagination. Therefore for a while now I have been thinking about changing my blog design- I had got a little bored of my header and the overall layout just needed some work. But stupidly I was worried as your header is a large part of how people identify your blog- what if I changed mine and people didn't like it? I was just going to go for a small change but then I decided that if I was going to change it I may as well go all out and have a complete revamp. I have been worried for my header for a while now as with Mads getting a little bigger the cartoon baby was beginning to look less and less like her (although we all actually look like that header!) I have also seen a large number of animation style people that are similar on other blogs so decided a change was a good thing.
I also decided to change the blog module that I use, my comment system was a little backward and I couldn't manipulate much. However by deleting the existing blog platform it would also delete all my old posts which I most definitely didn't want to happen. I have had to get round this by archiving my 2011 posts and starting afresh on my main home page with a completely new system. Never fear, my old blog posts are still there- just go to the top and click on 2011 posts.
So....my new blog is now complete. I love it and am really pleased with the design of it, all graphics, icons, site positioning etc have been done from scratch by myself and my wonderful and talented hubby and it has taken him three solid nights of work to design and add all the code etc. But I am really pleased with the overall look of it- I feel this is more suited to me, I am quite a girly person and I think it is quite pretty- it will have more staying power as Mads grows than my old design. I like the fact that the three birds are flying towards their iittle home.
I have also tweaked my About Me sections and other bits and pieces too. A nice new change for 2012. Hopefully it will start my year off in the way I hope it will go- onwards and upwards. 2011 was a fantastic year but I want 2012 to be even better.
>So what does everyone think? Honest opinions please- I can take it and won't weep into my pillow if you prefer the old one!

So interested to hear your comment about your comments as I found it really clunky to use and the word verification was a nightmare.
I also hadn't seen that format of comment ANYWHERE else before (or since).
So I am liking the new blog for lots of reasons.
Well done Mr and Mrs E

I get bored easily too, so changed mine to a blue theme when I found out we were expecting a boy! Though it will probably stay like that for a while now... I wish I was as technical as you though to input all the codes etc. myself! x
