A Room For LL- A Nursery Room Tour.

on Monday, 29 April 2013.

Last week I published a post showing Mads new 'big girl' room.  I thought that I would now do a tour of my littlest lady's room too.

This one isn't quite as exciting as we have only added a few finishing touches.  This room used to be our spare room before we became pregnant with Mads, and had already been decorated for her, so as she is only two and the bedding etc is still like new, we decided against completely redoing it for LL.

Still I am really pleased with how it has turned out.  When I was pregnant with Mads I really wanted a pastel coloured room that wasn't too overloaded with pink!

The theme of the room, apart from pastels, is 'My Unusual Friends' which was from Marks and Spencers and is a series of little character monsters.  I loved the fact that they were cute but not overly cute!

nurseryroomtour14

Some friends very kindly bought LL this gorgeous bunting and it is so long it takes up the whole of one wall which looks lovely.

nurseryroomtour5

I love these building blocks in the same pastel colours.

nurseryroomtour6

Just like he did with Mads, Mr E bought LL a special present on the day she was born and bought it to the hospital.  Here is her rabbit.

nurseryroomtour7

I have a bit of a weird obsession with Russian Dolls and Mr E bought this set for me one Christmas- we thought they looked good sat on the shelf.

Another monster friend!

nurseryroomtour8

This rabbit hangs from a large spring above her changing table so as she gets a bit bigger she can watch her while she is having her nappy changed.

nurseryroomtour9

This is 'Big George,' who sits on the chest by her cot.

nurseryroomtour11

Some more little monster friends.

nurseryroomtour12

Every girl needs a bear from the year they were born!  This one is from her Auntie Paula.

nurseryroomtour15

A bag to hang from her door to keep bits and pieces in- I am not a fan of clutter!

nurseryroomtour18

So there you have it.  A pretty, pastel nursery for my little lady.  In a way I wish we had changed the theme but it seems silly when they are babies for such a short time.  We will just go to town on her own 'big girl room' in a couple of years!

I have been shortlisted in four categories in the BritMums BiBs 2013- if you like my blog please vote for me in the Family, Video, Photo or Lifestyle categories.  Voting closes on the 12th May.  Just click here to vote.  Thank you :)

it is a beautiful room - very simple but very pretty and girly without being OTT and pink and in your face with it! the bunting is just perfect and the photos of the baby in a towel - are those LL? If so, she looks just like Mads in them x

It's a beautiful room, I do remember it from when Mads was little and it still looks just as lovely. LL has rather an impressive book collection already too!

How gorgeous! I am starting to really love all things white - in fact I am about to go on a white mission decorating here which will either look super or be a complete disaster and mean me having to scrub stains from the walls for the next 5 years!

I love those Russian dolls - I've not seen pink ones before - very cute x

Another lovely room, I love how light it is. It looks very calm and peaceful. I am seeing Russian Dolls everywhere at the moment, they remind me of being at my Nana's house when I was little x

So beautiful. My wee man's room is a bit plain to be honest with little thought for decorations. As he gets bigger I probably should make more of an effort. As we rent we don't really have much leeway though.

I love it, pastels and monsters you can't go wrong and like you said they don't stay small for long. I am about to do room tours for both of mine. I took pictures but have yet to post it, hopefully this week. I love seeing nursery and the creativity that went into making them our little ones place in our homes. So very very cute.
