Lego Duplo Number Train Review...#LD13Netmums
For Christmas last year Mads got a lovely Lego Duplo set from her Grandma. It was a princess set and you could build her a little castle, and she had a bed. She really loves to build and create, and she loves imaginative play, so the toy was perfect for her.
Therefore when Netmums mentioned they were looking for bloggers to review their Number Train, I knew Mads would love it so I volunteered.

The Number Train set consists of numbered blocks, blocks with wheels, normal blocks and a driver and a dog. Children can build other objects such as a building, a tunnel or a dog house, as well as a train. It also encourages children to learn maths skills.
Instantly both myself and Mads were attracted to the bright and colourful packaging, and Mads shouted 'choo choo train Mummy.' She was incredibly excited to get it out, so we ripped open the box and she set about building it with Daddy.
She is too young at twenty six months to build the train exactly, but she let Daddy build it for her at first, helping him put the pieces in the right places. She can count to ten occasionally but more often and not she gets confused and says 'One, Two, Eight etc' so I was really pleased with the bright, coloured number blocks and we spent a lot of time going over the different numbers.
Once the train was built she spent ages pushing it around the living room saying 'choo chooooo.' In fact I think this was the highlight of the train for her, she loved the fact she could push it around. She also loved the fact she could demolish it and build it all over again!
Overall I was really pleased with the train. Mads loved it and it has lots of uses which mean she hasn't got bored of it yet- obviously you can build it, but then also you can use it as a train and push it around, and use it for learning number skills. I really like the fact that it is educational as well as fun, as these are definitely the best toys for Mummy's!
I would definitely reccomend the toy to others in Mads age group, she is 26 months. We will be buying some more Lego Duplo to add to our collection.
