Me and Mine: A Family Portrait Project- February.
February, the month of love is over and hopefully Spring will come in March. February was certainly the month of love for us as we added a new addition to our family. It is amazing to think that last month we sat on the bed to take our last family photo as a threesome with a growing person in my tummy, and now she is here and included in our first family portrait.
Without further ado here is my family.
My new foursome.
Would you believe that this is the first photo of the four of us together? Unfortunately none of my family, bar my little sister have my photography passion so we just didn't get round to asking anyone to take a photo of the four of us in the hospital. Therefore this photo is extra special to me. Whereas last month was special because it was our last photo as a three, this one is the start of a new journey as we start our lives together as a four.
With all that has been going on this month (giving birth surely is a good excuse?!) we left it right until the last minute and yesterday before Mr E left for work we quickly set up the tripod and snapped this photo with my remote.
It's not perfect but this is exactly what we have been doing the last couple of weeks. We spent the majority of Mr E's paternity leave on the sofa snuggling under our comfy throw, just getting to know each other. Cuddling and snoozing, and relaxing. Therefore I thought it was only right that this month's photo was taken in the same place. If you look closely you can see the tell tale puffiness of my tired eyes, thats what having a newborn does for you!
It makes me so proud to look at this photo and see my two gorgeous girls.
This month I am encouraging you to go and check out Becky's lovely blog. Not that you should need any encouragement. Becky's husband is a photographer and her blog is full of gorgeous photos of her little family and lovely toddler Holly, I can't wait to see what she has taken this month.
If you want to join in and take a photo of your family, then there is a linky below.
It's lovely to take these photos so we can look back on 2013 and see how we grew as a family.
